Initially famous for The Movie Blog film review website, Campea went on to host AMC Movie Talk and to serve as chief editor of AMC Movie News. Also a filmmaker, he directed a documentary titled Prince of Peace: God of War and a feature titled The Anniversary.
Before beginning his career as a movie reviewer, he worked for both Beagle Productions and Satellite Studios.
He competed on numerous occasions in the World Series of Poker.
He was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. He married Ann Campea in 2010. They have resided in Burbank, California, with their two dogs named Lily and Shadow.
Campea’s AMC Movie Talk program won a 2014 International Academy of Web Television Award. Filmmaker Miles Luna won the same honor on two occasions (for Red vs. Blue and RWBY).
